Karl Ludwig von Weitzel

Karl Ludwig von Weitzel (born September 23, 1821 in Magdeburg , † February 16, 1881 in Osterwein ) was an East Prussian manor owner and politician.

Life

Karl Ludwig von Weitzel attended the cathedral high school in Magdeburg . He studied law and cameralia in Bonn and Berlin . In 1841 he became a member of the Corps Palatia Bonn . After completing his studies, he devoted himself to agriculture, first in the Altmark and from 1856 on his Gut Osterwein in the Osterode district in East Prussia .

From 1866 to 1867 Karl Ludwig von Weitzel was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1867 to 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag electoral district of Königsberg 8 in the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . As a result, he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868 to 1870 . He belonged to the Conservative Party .
