Karl Otto from the East
Karl Otto von der Osten (born September 20, 1800 in Zirkwitz , † August 9, 1872 in Greifenberg ) was a German lawyer and parliamentarian.
Life
Karl Otto von der Osten studied law at the University of Greifswald and became a member of the Corps Pomerania Greifswald . After graduating, he became a judicial commissioner in Goldap . In 1837 he was also licensed as a notary at Insterburg Higher Regional Court . In 1838 he became a judicial commissioner and notary in Stallupönen , later a lawyer and notary in Stallupönen. He was admitted to the lower courts in Goldap, Gumbinnen , Pillkallen , Schirwindt and Stallupönen. In 1853 he settled as a lawyer at the district court and notary in Tilsit . In 1857 he went to the district court in Greifenberg as a lawyer .
Osten was the owner of the Zirkwitz manor in Pomerania. In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .
