Karl Pfeifer (born July 17, 1953 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , cabaret artist and writer . In the course of his career he was involved in over 100 film and television productions.

Until 1980 he was also active as an athlete and won various titles, especially as a boxer.

life and career

Karl Pfeifer was born on July 17, 1953 in Vienna and grew up in a large family with parents, grandmother, great-grandmother and his mother's brothers. His brother Gerald was born in January 1959 and died in 1987 at the age of 28. After attending elementary school, Pfeifer attended a general high school , which he completed with the Matura and then began studies in forestry and business administration . Pfeifer has lived in Vienna since he was born - with the exception of a two-year stay in Australia . Until 1980 Pfeifer was active as an athlete and won various titles, especially as a boxer. In the same year he married his wife Beatrix with whom he had four daughters Ursula, Julia, Maria and Barbara. His training as an actor was self-taught . From 1986 to 1996 he acted as a castle actor at the Burgtheater in Vienna and appeared in plays such as Der böse Geist Lumpacivagabundus , Umsonst , Die Zeit und das Zimmer , Hotel Ultimus , Liliom , The Visit of the Old Lady , Romeo and Juliet or The Impresario von Smyrna on.
