Karl Pietsch (politician)

Karl Pietsch (born March 4, 1943 in Eisenerz , Styria ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1996 to 2003 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Karl Pietsch attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Judenburg . After graduating from high school , he graduated from the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt and was retired as a lieutenant in 1967 . Then he was a professional officer in the armed forces and completed UN missions abroad . He retired with the rank of colonel .

In 1985 he became a local councilor, from 1986 to 2005 he was a councilor in Wiener Neustadt. In 2012 he was awarded the Ring of Honor of the City of Wiener Neustadt. On 25 January 1996 he was appointed as successor to Walter Hofer in the XIV. Legislative period for the first time as a deputy to the parliament of Lower Austria sworn where he served as SPÖ security spokesman. After the state elections in Lower Austria in 2003 , he resigned from the state parliament in April 2003. From 1999 to 2008 he was also Vice President of the Lower Austrian Civil Protection Association .
