Karl Renatus Hausen (born March 18, 1740 in Leipzig ; † September 20, 1805 ) was a historian and professor of philosophy and history at the Friedrichs University of Halle and the Brandenburg University of Frankfurt .

Life

Hausen was a son of the scientist Christian August Hausen and the Friedricke Juliane Troppanneger.

He studied in Leipzig , where he qualified as a private lecturer in 1761 . In 1765 he was appointed to Halle as an associate professor, but in the following year, 1766, he was again appointed to Frankfurt an der Oder.
