Karl Rompel (born May 9, 1888 in Wallbach ; † February 17, 1937 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school , Karl Rompel earned his living as a worker. From 1908 to 1910 he was a member of the 32nd Infantry Regiment in Meiningen . From 1916 to 1918 he was a locomotive heater for the Military Railway Directorate No. 7 (MED 7) in Niš .

Since 1920 Rompel, who now worked as a warehouse clerk, was involved in the nationalist movement . In 1925 Rompel joined the NSDAP, where he initially took on the duties of local group leader. In 1929 he became a member of the Meiningen city ​​council .

In 1932 Rompel was elected to the Landtag of Thuringia , which he belonged to until the dissolution of this body in 1933. From November 1933 until his death in 1937, Rompel sat in the National Socialist Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 12 (Thuringia). Rompel's mandate was continued by Ernst Frenzel after his death .

At the local level, Rompel also took on a number of other offices in the 1930s: in 1934 he became city councilor (2nd honorary alderman) in Meiningen, and in 1936 he took over the office of district head.
