Karl Schneider (politician, 1926)

Karl Schneider (born November 29, 1926 in Dortmund ; † March 19, 2012 ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, he studied English and German language and literature in Münster and received his doctorate in 1952. From 1952, Schneider worked in school, most recently as senior director and long-time headmaster at St. Kaspar grammar school in Neuenheerse . He was married and has one child.

From 1969 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974 he was a member of the district council of the Warburg district and from 1975 a member of the district council of the Höxter district . He was an honorary board member of the Höxter district association of the CDU.

From October 19, 1989 to September 30, 1994 he was the penultimate honorary district administrator in the Höxter district. Schneider was active in various committees of the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia .
