Karl Thomas

Karl Albert Ferdinand Thomas (born November 28, 1883 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † September 6, 1969 in Göttingen ) was a German physician.

Life

Karl Thomas was full professor of physiological chemistry at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig from 1921 to 1945 and full professor of physiological chemistry at the University of Erlangen from 1946 to 1949 . He was then director of the Medical Research Institute of the Max Planck Society . Among other things, Thomas developed the concept of the biological value of proteins.
