Karl Wechselberger

Karl Wechselberger (born December 3, 1970 in Innsbruck , Austria ) is a South Tyrolean show jumper .

Wechselberger, who comes from a long-established family in the South Tyrolean town of Sterzing , started riding at the age of seven, and at the age of 16 he started his show jumping career by winning the regional championships . In 1988 he took part in an international Grand Prix for the first time, and in 1992 the show jumper was called up for the first time in the Italian national team.

Wechselberger achieved his first major international success in 2002 at the World Cup in Moscow , where he finished fifth. In 2005 he won the Nations Cup with the Italian national team in Drammen, Norway with Quifilio and in 2006 he won the Sofia Grand Prix with Replay .

In addition to his career as a show jumper, he works as a riding trainer .
