Karl Wilhelm Siebdrat

Karl Wilhelm Siebdrat (born March 3, 1770 in Leipzig , † November 14, 1834 in Eisleben ) was a German classical philologist and high school rector.

Life

Siebdrat attended the Thomas School in Leipzig and studied Protestant theology (with Franz Volkmar Reinhard ) and classical philology at the University of Leipzig . He then worked as a private tutor with Reinhard, General Freiherr von Bila and the geologist von Charpentier in Dresden and Prague. In 1798 he did his master's degree at the University of Wittenberg , in 1797 he became sub-rector , 1800 vice rector and 1819 rector of the high school in Eisleben .
