Karl Wilhelm von Hessen-Darmstadt (born June 17, 1693 in Nidda , † May 17, 1707 in Gießen ) was a prince of Hessen-Darmstadt .

Life

Karl Wilhelm was the second son of Landgrave Ernst Ludwig von Hessen-Darmstadt (1667–1739) from his marriage to Dorothea Charlotte (1661–1705), daughter of Margrave Albrecht von Brandenburg-Ansbach .

At the age of four his father appointed him colonel of the newly established Hessen-Darmstadt district regiment . Two years later the education of Karl Wilhelm was handed over to Johann Konrad Dippel in Gießen , where the landgrave family had fled from the French troops.

Karl Wilhelm died at the age of 13 during the War of the Spanish Succession , his younger brother Prince Franz Ernst of Hessen-Darmstadt took his regimental position.
