Karl von Angerer

Karl von Angerer (born December 20, 1883 in Würzburg , † June 4, 1945 in Erlangen ) was a German hygienist and bacteriologist.

Life

Angerer studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and was active in the Corps Suevia Munich in 1903 . After the state examination (1907) he was a medical intern in Munich and Berlin. After obtaining his license to practice medicine, he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. He habilitated in 1920 at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen , but ran the Umhabilitation to Munich (1923). There he was a private lecturer and associate professor for hygiene and bacteriology . After a substitute chair in the winter semester of 1928/29, he changed to full professor on May 1, 1929to Erlangen. In 1941 he turned down a call from the Düsseldorf Medical Academy .
