Karl von Eschwege

Karl Moritz Willibald Johann Freiherr von Eschwege (born October 26, 1826 in Reichensachsen , † October 17, 1890 in Fritzlar ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Karl von Eschwege was the son of the Chamberlain and MP Carl von Eschwege (1789–1857) and his wife Henriette Auguste Charlotte Wilhelmine, nee Boyneburgk . He studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . In 1850 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . In the same year he joined the Corps Saxo-Borussia Göttingen.

After graduation, he entered the Kurhessian a public service. As district secretary of the district of Ziegenhain , since the annexation of Kurhesse by the Kingdom of Prussia , he was appointed district administrator of the Fritzlar district in 1868. He held this office until his death in 1890.

From 1865 to 1866 he was a member of the Kurhessische Ständeversammlung (constituency of the knighthood of the Werrastrom) and from 1886 to 1890 a member of the Kassel Municipal Parliament and the Provincial Parliament of the Hesse-Nassau Province .
