Karlheinz Schönswetter

Karlheinz Schönswetter (born February 13, 1941 in Vienna ; † July 18, 2006 in St. Georgen near Salzburg ) was an Austrian artist .

Life

Example of the steel sculptures as they were produced as part of the steel symposia under Karlheinz Schönswetter and can be seen in the Riedersbach steel park .

Schönswetter spent his youth in Pongau and was a primary school teacher in Tarsdorf , secondary school teacher in Ostermiething and St. Pantaleon and from 1981 to 1989 principal school director in St. Pantaleon.

From 1989 to 1994 he was a freelance art and culture advisor. In 1988 he founded art in the Kraftwerk gallery in Riedersbach . From 1988 he was head of the steel symposia at the Riedersbach power plant . Many of these works are freely accessible as exhibits in the Riedersbach steel park .

In 1996 he set up the inking unit in the former elementary school in St. Radegund . In 2005 he became chairman of the Georg Rendl Society. Since the early 1980s he lived in his house on the pond in Sankt Georgen near Salzburg .
