Karol d'Abancourt de Franqueville (lawyer)

Karol d'Abancourt de Franqueville (born May 26, 1851 in Łówcza , † August 16, 1913 in Rabka ) was a Polish lawyer and member of the Galician state parliament from 1885 to 1900. His uncle was the resistance fighter Karol d'Abancourt de Franqueville .

Life

Karol d'Abancourt de Franqueville was born on May 26, 1851 as the son of Franciszek Ksawery d'Abancourt de Franqueville in Łówcza.

He completed his secondary school education as well as his law studies in Lviv . He then served as a judge in Bels , Brody , Bolekhiv and Zhuravne operates. In addition, he campaigned for the social and economic interests in these places. He established a basketry school in Shurawno around 1895, where he became an honorary citizen .

In 1895 he was in the district Zhydachiv elected as a non-party MP for Galizisischen parliament. Due to his national attitudes, he was forced to resign from his parliamentary post in 1900 on the grounds that this activity was incompatible with his judicial obligations.

In 1898 he was sent to Prussia and Saxony as legal advisor to the Lviv court with five delegates from Austria to familiarize himself with the local judiciary.

He advocated the establishment of an orphanage Council and of orphans cash one. He was also an active member of the legal society and the Sokol . In later years he was a member of the Stronnictwo Narodowo-Demokratyczne .

He died on August 16, 1913 in Rabka.
