Count Kasimir Kolb (e) von Wartenberg (born May 6, 1699 in Berlin ; † October 2, 1772 in Mettenheim ) a royal Prussian major general, minister of the Swabian district, knight of the Black Eagle Order and Canon of Halberstadt .

He was the son of the Prussian Prime Minister Johann Kasimir Kolb von Wartenberg and his wife , geb. Katharina Rickers widowed Biedecamp. The Palatinate dynasty of the Kolb von Wartenberg had acquired under his father in 1699 the imperial estate as an imperial count house.

He became an ensign in the Dragoon Regiment No. 1 on March 9, 1715 and thus took part in the Pomeranian campaign of 1715/1716 . On August 24th, 1717 he became Rittmeister in the Cuirassier Regiment No. 1 and took over the company of Colonel von Krummensee. On January 5, 1722 he asked for his resignation due to illness, which was also granted on January 14, 1722.

On July 24, 1732, Friedrich Wilhelm I appointed him Major General and Minister Plenipotentiary for the Swabian District . In this capacity, from September 26, 1733 to December 23, 1734 he repeatedly sent reports on the operations on the Upper Rhine.

In 1739 he received the Order of the Black Eagle and became a canon in Halberstadt. On December 17, 1740 he received renewed confirmation from Friedrich II , who confirmed him again as Minister of the Swabian District on January 21, 1741. His last report is dated October 26, 1744. He retired to Mettenheim am Rhein, where in 1726 he had started building a residential palace. His partly inherited, partly self-inflicted debt forced him in 1754 to pledge most of the County of Wartenberg to the Margrave of Baden. He died in Mettenheim in 1772.
