Kasimir Walchner

Kasimir Maria Walchner (born October 10, 1773 in Eichstätt , † April 13, 1837 in Konstanz ) was a German historian, lawyer and editor.

Walchner, son of Wollmatinger forester Franz Walchner, studied in Ingolstadt jurisprudence . In 1795 he became a lawyer in Meersburg , in 1804 a Baden civil servant in Pfullendorf , and in 1811 a senior magistrate in Radolfzell on Lake Constance , where he remained until 1824.

Walchner dealt with research on the history of Baden, in particular with the Lake Constance region.

His son was the geologist Friedrich August Walchner .
