Katalyn Hühnerfeld (* 1975 in Bremen as Katalyn Bohn ) is a German cabaret artist, actress and speaker.

Life

Katalyn Hühnerfeld grew up in Lower Saxony . She lives in Wiesbaden with her husband and two sons .

education

After graduating from high school, she began training as a pantomime in 1997 at the “Etage”, a school for the performing and visual arts in Berlin . In 1999 she moved from there to the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen , where she studied pantomime. In 2004 she received the Folkwang Prize for her solo graduation program.

Professional background

stage

From 2004 to 2009 she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden . From 2009 to 2014 she had guest engagements at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart , Landestheater Tübingen and in several productions of the Landgraf concert directorate .

Film television

Since 2006 she has worked in various film and television productions, such as the ARD drama The Last Beautiful Day (2011), the ARD Wednesday film Beyond the Day (2014), the Stuttgart crime scene “Der Inder” (2015), the ARD - Feature film "I was a happy woman" (2017) and the feature film Ostwind 3 (2017). In 2012 she took on the female lead in the movie "Trugschluss". From 2008 to 2017 she had various small roles in the series Ein Fall für Zwei , Taunuskrimi and The Public Prosecutor . Since 2016 she has been a permanent member of the children's and youth sitcom " Leider Lustig " on KIKA .

cabaret

In 2014 Hühnerfeld developed her first solo cabaret program “When all else fails”. In it she combined elements from theater , cabaret , magic and acrobatics ( tightrope walk ). The common thread was a humorous processing of her life as a qualified mime artist. B. used silent films. In addition, she dealt with socially critical topics such as health care , media , family life , raising children , being single, etc. a. apart. In 2015 she brought out a further development of the program under the title “Miss Geschicke”. With “If all else fails” and “Miss Geschicke”, she went on tour across Germany with over 200 performances until 2017, with stations including Theaterhaus Stuttgart , Mainzer Unterhaus and the Pantheon Theater Bonn.

In 2017 she developed her second cabaret solo program "Sein oder online" in which she addressed alienation and excessive demands in the digital age. Again she combined elements from theater, cabaret and magic, as well as music for the first time. She had the composer Marie-Luise Bolte set her humorous lyrics to music.
