Katarzyna Jakieła (born December 12, 1987 in Sanok ) is a Polish biathlete .

Katarzyna Jakieła is a student and lives in Iwonicz-Zdrój . She starts for AZS AWF Katowice and is trained by Malwina Wojtas. She started biathlon in 2001 and has been a member of the Polish national team since 2004. Jakieła made her international debut in 2004 as part of the Biathlon European Cup for Juniors, where she was 54th in the individual and 61st in the sprint in Obertilliach . In 2006 she took part in the Junior World Championships for the first time in Presque Isle and ran to places 29 in the individual, 16 in the sprint, 22 in the pursuit and eleventh with the relay. The Polish woman did not finish her two races in Martell the following year. The last time she took part in the Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding , where she was 47th in the individual, 48th in the sprint and 12th in the relay.

Jakieła has started with women in the performance area since 2008. She contested her first race in the IBU Cup in Obertilliach and was 52nd in this individual. In the following sprint, she won first points in 36th place. The best result so far is a 19th place, achieved in an individual in Osrblie . The first highlight among women was participation in the 2009 European Biathlon Championships in Ufa , where she was 23rd of the individual, 29th of the sprint and the pursuit and seventh in the relay with Karolina Pitoń , Katarzyna Leja and Magdalena Kępka as the final runner.

In the 2008/09 season Jakieła was appointed to the A-squad of Poland for the first time, from which she dropped out again the following season because the Polish national team was greatly reduced in view of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver to better promote the strongest athletes to be able to. For the 2010/2011 season, she moved back to the A-team.
