Katarzyna Ewa Skowrońska-Dolata (born June 30, 1983 in Warsaw ) is a Polish volleyball player .

Career

Skowrońska played in her youth with Skra Warszawa and SMS PZPS Sosnowiec . With AZS AWF Poznań she became Polish runner-up in 2003. With PTPS Piła she finished 3rd in the national championship in 2005. Then the attacker switched to the Italian "Serie A1" to Minetti Infoplus Vicenza and later to Asystel Volley Novara . With Scavolini Pesaro Skowrońska won the Italian championship twice and the cup once. In 2010/11 she played in Turkey at Fenerbahçe İstanbul and also won the national championship here. Also in 2012 in China with Guangdong Evergrande and in 2013 and 2014 in Azerbaijan with Rabita Baku she became national champion. After a season in her home country with Impel Wrocław , Skowrońska played again in Italy in 2016/17 for Foppapedretti Bergamo , where she tore a cruciate ligament in the second half of the season and was out. In 2017/18 and 2018/19 she worked for Hinode Barueri in Brazil .

Skowrońska also played 288 times in the Polish national team from 2003 to 2016 . She became European Champion in 2003 and 2005 , took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and won the silver medal at the European Games in Baku in 2015 .

Skowrońska has been recognized as the “best points collector” and “most valuable player” in numerous competitions.
