Kathleen Ann Deines (born September 17, 1989 in Portland , Oregon ) is a former American soccer player who was last under contract with 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam until 2015 .
Career
From 2007 to 2009, and again in 2012 after completing her studies at the University of Washington , Deines played for the W-League participant Seattle Sounders Women . In the summer of 2012, she and her Sounders teammate Veronica Perez played for the Icelandic first division club UMF Stjarnan , with whom she was able to celebrate the cup victory. In early 2013, Deines was signed as a so-called free agent by Seattle Reign FC . She made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against the Chicago Red Stars . In September 2014 Deines switched to the German Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam for one season and ended her active career in April 2015. Thus, a transfer to the reigning NWSL champions FC Kansas City, which had already been reported as perfect in November 2014, was broken .
After her sports career, she worked as a financial advisor.
