Veronica Raquel Perez Murillo (born May 18, 1988 in Hayward , California ) is a Mexican - American soccer player who has been under contract with KIF Örebro since the beginning of 2016 .

Career

society

In 2009, Perez began her professional career with the Seattle Sounders Women in the W-League . She then played in the 2010 season for the WPS franchise of Saint Louis Athletica . In 2012 she first returned to the Seattle Sounders and after the end of the season moved with her teammate Kate Deines to the Icelandic first division club UMF Stjarnan , with whom she was able to celebrate the cup victory.

In January 2013, Perez was assigned to Flash in the so-called player allocation of the newly founded NWSL franchise. She made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against Sky Blue FC , her first goal in the NWSL she scored on June 15 against Washington Spirit . For the 2014 season, she moved to league rivals Washington Spirit, with whom she reached the play-offs. Perez skipped the 2015 season, also due to the preparation for the 2015 World Cup . In 2014 she competed with Mexico in the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup . Perez was used in two group matches and in the third-place match that helped Mexico qualify third for the 2015 World Cup. She is also part of the Mexican squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
