Kate Haywood (born April 1, 1987 in Grimsby , England ) is a British breaststroke swimmer .

Career

In 2002 Haywood started for England at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester . There she was able to secure the bronze medal with the 4 × 100 m individual relay relay.

She missed the qualification for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , but two years later she was able to qualify again for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , where she won the silver medal this time with the 4 × 100 m individual medley.

Two years later, she was able to win her first title again with the individual relay at the European Swimming Championships in 2008 . In 2010 she swam at the Commonwealth Games over 50 m chest and 100 m chest each in third place, with the individual relay she came second.

Haywood is currently studying and swimming at Loughborough University .
