Kateřina Pauláthová (born July 23, 1993 in Havířov ) is a Czech ski racer . She mainly starts in the giant slalom and slalom disciplines and is trained by her father Radovan Pauláth.

biography

Kateřina Pauláthová has been competing in FIS races since December 2008 . Especially in the races in her home country she achieved good results from the start and in January 2009 she celebrated her first victories. At the European Youth Olympic Festival 2009 in Szczyrk , Poland , she was 11th in slalom and 24th in giant slalom. In the 2009/2010 season Pauláthová won several FIS races again. In March 2010 she proved that the then 16-year-old was already one of the strongest female racers at national level with two Czech championship titles in giant slalom and super combined. At the Junior World Championships in 2010 , however, she only finished 43rd in the giant slalom; a year later she was at the 2011 Junior World Championships 22nd in slalom.

While Pauláthová has only participated in one race in the European Cup so far, she has also competed in the World Cup since the 2010/11 season . In her third World Cup race, the giant slalom in Špindlerův Mlýn on March 11, 2011, she was the 28th to win World Cup points for the first time. In the previous month, the 17-year-old had already participated in the giant slalom and team competition at the 2011 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In the giant slalom, she finished 37th as the best Czech woman, and in the team competition the Czech team was eliminated in the first round.
