Katharina Kuhn
Katharina Maria Kuhn (born Schütt ; born June 9, 1878 in Mainz , † October 4, 1948 in Hamburg ) was a Hamburg politician for the USPD and a member of the Hamburg Parliament .
Life and politics
Katharina Kuhn was trained as a teacher for the secondary school in Darmstadt . After her training, she worked in various places in Germany at boarding schools , private schools , primary schools and " Feeble-Minded institutions " (parlance of the time). From 1903 she worked as a teacher at the Emilie Wüstenfeld -Lyzeum. From 1907 to 1911 she was trained as a senior teacher for natural sciences and worked in this position until May 1917.
She was taken into " protective custody " for six weeks on May 5, 1917 and was banned from teaching for six months because of her appearance at a women's meeting and the opinion expressed there.
She sat for the USPD from 1919 to 1921 in the Hamburg parliament .
