Kathrin Beck (born March 8, 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress and former figure skater .

Kathrin Beck's parents were members of the Vienna Ice Skating Club , together with her brother Christoff Beck she completed a children's course there, where the talent of the two was soon recognized. From 1983 to 1988 Christoff and Kathrin Beck were national champions in ice dancing at the Austrian figure skating championships six times in a row . At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 , they took part in ice dancing for Austria and took fifth place. After the Olympic Games, she ended her career as a figure skater and began training as an actor.

She received private acting lessons from Susi Nicoletti and Dany Sigel , she also attended the British American Drama Academy and trained in musicals at the Vienna Conservatory .

From 1991 to 1999 she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt , where she appeared in The Furtwängler Case , The Concert , Love Stories and Heurathssachen , The Robbery of the Sabine Women , Hell Fear , Othello Must Not Burst and in My Friend Harvey, among others. She had other engagements, for example, at the Rabenhof Theater , the Stadttheater Klagenfurt , the Reichenau Festival and the Wiener Festwochen .

In 2007 she met the musician, composer and producer Christian Klikovits, with whom she is married and lives in Los Angeles . Kathrin Beck is a member of the Academy of Austrian Films and the Association of Austrian Film Actors .
