Kathrin Pfisterer (born July 17, 1982 ) is a former German biathlete .

Pfisterer drew international attention for the first time at the Junior World Championships 2000 in Hochfilzen with an 11th place in the sprint and a 13th place in the pursuit. She was extremely successful in 2002 when she was junior world champion in the relay - together with Jenny Adler and Ute Niziak - and in the sprint. There was also a bronze medal in pursuit. As a junior she achieved a third place in the individual and a victory with the relay in the European Cup in the 1999/2000 season. She was also the German youth champion in the pursuit in 2000.

In 2003 and 2004 she achieved numerous top ten placements in the European Cup, including in Ridnaun , Méribel , Langdorf and Gurnigel . She achieved podium places in the sprint from Ridnaun in 2003 as third and in 2004 in the relay with Kathrin Hitzer , Anne Preußler and Barbara Ertl in second place in Méribel. The high performance density in the German team with a maximum of seven starters per nation prevented their participation in the World Cup. At national level, she won the sprint competition at the German Cup in February 2004. In 2004/2005 she was part of the I b course group of the national biathlon team, but ended her career in the same season.

Kathrin Pfisterer is Andreas Birnbacher's cousin and, like him, started for SC Schleching . She has been married to bobsleigh pilot Karl Angerer since June 30, 2006 and has a daughter.
