Ute Niziak (born February 26, 1982 in Dresden ) is a former German biathlete .

The Saxon, starting for SSV Altenberg , began her international career at the Junior World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk in 2001. In the sprint, she was fifth there and sixth in the pursuit. A year later in Ridnaun , she won silver in individual and pursuit and just barely missed another medal in the sprint as fourth. With the season, to which Jenny Adler also belonged, she won gold. Her last junior title fights in 2003 in Kościelisko were particularly successful . She won gold in the individual and in the pursuit, silver in the relay and bronze in the sprint. In 2005 Niziak started for the first time at the European Championships in Novosibirsk . With the season, which also included Sabrina Buchholz , Jenny Adler and Barbara Ertl , she finished fourth. She was also able to place well in all races at the 2007 European Championship in Bansko . She won silver in the relay and in the pursuit, fourth in the sprint and fifth in the individual.

In 2003 in Ridnaun , Niziak made his debut in the European Cup. After an eleventh place in the individual, she won the sprint race. Another five wins and one relay win were added. In the biathlon world cup , Niziak made his debut at the pre-Olympic World Cup in San Sicario 2005 and was 37th in the individual. Two years later it was used again in Oslo on Holmenkollen and reached a 35th place in the sprint. In the penultimate race of the season she came in a pursuit after a 45th place in the sprint by a zero-error shooting in 21st in the points.

Niziak officially announced her retirement from active sport in 2008.
