Kathryn Casey
Kathryn Casey (* in Wauwatosa , Wisconsin ) is an American journalist and writer .
Life
Kathryn Casey was born in Wauwatosa , Wisconsin . The family moved to Texas in the early 1980s . She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Houston . In 1984 she found work as the editor of Houston City Magazine , where she stayed for two years. After two more years as an editor at Ultra , a magazine aimed at wealthy customers, she spent 18 years as a journalist for Ladies' Home Journal . Since then she has been a freelance journalist and has written for magazines such as Seventeen , Texas Monthly , TV Guide and Rolling Stone , among others . Thematically, she dealt with subjects such as Hurricane Katrina , the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City .
From an article about a serial rapist who raped several housewives in Houston in the early 1990s , Casey wrote The Rapist's Wife, her first non-fiction book about a true criminal case. From then on she concentrated more and more on criminal cases and published other books with A Warrant to Kill , She Wanted It All and Die, My Love . Her 2012 book Deadly Little Secrets about a priest who killed his wife. It was adapted by Lifetime Television in 2013 in the television movie Murder in a Small Town , which was later renamed Sins of the Preacher . Directed by John Stimpson , Gail O'Grady , Christopher Gartin and James McDaniel starred .
Casey debuted as a writer in 2008 with Singularity . She bundled her experiences from her previous books in the character of Sarah Armstrong, a Texas ranger and case analyst . The book appeared two years later, after a translation by Sabine Schilasky , under the title Blutsühne by Diana Verlag in Munich. Two more novels followed in 2009 with Blood Lines and 2010 with The Killing Storm .
