Gail Ann O'Grady (born January 23, 1963 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actress .
Life
Gail Ann O'Grady was born to Jan and Jim O'Grady, a financial advisor. She grew up in Michigan , Illinois, and Wisconsin and graduated from Wheaton North High School in 1981 . Before she moved to Los Angeles in 1986 , she appeared in a few commercials. Among other things, she played an erotic neighbor in a Pepsi commercial with Michael J. Fox .
After starring in television and feature films such as Beverly Hills Boys Club , Death Greetings from Beyond and Chaos in Hollywood , it was the role of Donna Abandando in the television series New York Cops - NYPD Blue , which she played from 1993 to 1999, which she made internationally known. For this role, she received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 1996 Satellite Awards . She was also nominated three times for the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress and three times for the Screen Actors Guild Awards for best acting ensemble for portraying Donna Abandando , the latter of which she won the 1995 Screen Actors Guild Awards .
Gail O'Grady has been married six times so far. Her first husband was Richard Dasko (1981–1983), followed by Severin Wunderman (1987), Jeffrey Byron (1990–1991), Steve Fenton (1995–1996), Anthony J. Pellegrino (1998–2000) and John Stamatakis (2004 -2008). She has a son, John Stamatakis, who was born in 2004 and named after her older brother, who died that same year.
