Superboy is the name of an American television series from the 1980s / 90s. It portrays the life of the fictional comic book superhero Superboy , the teenage Superman , during his time at university.

action

The series was restructured several times during the four-year term. The first two seasons cover the life of Clark Kent at university, his heroic deeds as a superboy and his relationship with his childhood sweetheart Lana Lang. From the second season onwards, comic opponents Superboys and Supermans such as Lex Luthor , Mr. Mxyzptlk or Metallo are increasingly introduced . From the 3rd season, the location changes from the university to an agency for extraterrestrial affairs. The style of the series becomes significantly darker.

Deposition

The series had good ratings, so they would have liked to have produced a 5th and 6th season. Ultimately, however, this failed due to legal problems regarding the filming rights of the Superman franchise .
