Katja humility
Katja Demut (born December 21, 1983 in Schmölln ) is a former German athlete .
Life
Between 2003 and 2011, Katja Demut was a total of nine times German champion at the outdoor and indoor triple jump championships . She also took part in the triple jump competition at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 , but could not qualify for the finals with a achieved distance of 11.38 m. At the end of January 2011 she improved the German indoor record held by Petra Lobinger in Chemnitz by nine centimeters to 14.45 m and increased it two weeks later in Düsseldorf to 14.47 m. At the European Indoor Championships in Paris , she was unable to build on these performances when she missed the finals with 13.81 m.
In June 2011, Humility also secured the national outdoor record in the triple jump. The mark of 14.46 m previously held by Helga Radtke , which she had already exceeded in the hall, was raised to 14.57 m on Whit Monday at the Springer Meeting in Wesel. In 2012 she qualified for the European Championships in Helsinki, but did not reach the final there.
Humility started in 2002 for TuS Jena , then LC Jena . At a height of 1.76 m, her competition weight is 60 kg. She is trained by Michael Höhne . After graduating from school, she completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk , but when she switched to the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Frankenberg , she decided to give preference to a sporting career. On January 1, 2016, she moved to the Erfurt LAC . At the beginning of 2017, she announced her retirement from active competitive sport after starting a dual degree in health management in October 2016 .
