Katja Stuke

Katja Stuke (* 1968 ) is a German photographer .

Act

Katja Stuke studied from 1988 to 1993 she studied visual communication in Düsseldorf with a focus on typography , photography / film. From 1993 to 1998 she worked for Michael Schirner . Together with Oliver Sieber , with whom she forms an artist couple and runs a joint studio in Düsseldorf, she publishes the photography project Frau Böhm , which developed into Böhm / Kobayashi .

Stuke has been a member of the board of the Malkasten Artists' Association since 2006 . Since 2010, Böhm / Kobayashi have curated the ANT! FOTO exhibition once a year in the Kunstraum Düsseldorf and in the Malkasten artists' association. Together with Oliver Sieber, she curated the main exhibition of the Festival of the International Photoscene Cologne in 2016 under the title "Inner Security, the state I am in".

Katja Stuke and Oliver Sieber had lectureships a. a. at the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund , Technical University Dortmund and the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.
