Katri Lylynperä (born January 3, 1994 ) is a Finnish cross-country skier .

Career

Lylynperä mainly participated in junior races until 2013. She became Finnish junior sprint champion in Kemi in 2012 and Pyhäjärvi in 2013 . At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck , she took 19th place in the mixed relay, 14th place over 5 km classic and fifth place in the sprint. In February 2012 she came in 24th place in the skiathlon and 23rd place in the sprint at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Erzurum . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec , she achieved 25th place in the skiathlon, tenth place in the sprint and eighth place in the relay. She ran her first World Cup race in March 2013 in Lahti , which he finished in 51st place in the sprint. In November 2013 she reached the 78th place at the Nordic Opening in Kuusamo . Since the 2013/14 season she has mainly started in the Scandinavian Cup . So far she has been in the top ten three times. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2014 in Val di Fiemme , 17th place over 5 km was classic and sixth place with the relay was her best results. In February 2015 she came in at the U23 World Championships in Almaty on the 28th place over 10 km freestyle, 19th place in the skiathlon and 18th place in the sprint. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , she finished 18th over 10 km classic and 11th over 10 km freestyle and sprint. In March 2016 she became the Finnish junior champion over 15 km classic. At the 2017 U23 World Championships in Soldier Hollow , she finished 42nd in sprint and 18th in skiathlon. In February 2017 she came 32nd in the sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti. In February 2019 she became Finnish sprint champion in Imatra and achieved 45th place in sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol . At the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk , she won the bronze medal in the team sprint together with Joonas Sarkkinen .
