Katrin Lea day

Katrin Lea Tag (born 1972 in Berlin ) is a German stage and costume designer who works for both drama and opera.

life and work

Tag studied set design , painting and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1993 to 1999 . In 1997 she won first prize at the Ring Award , the international competition for directing and stage design in Graz. A series of assistants with Katrin Brack followed .

In 2006 she was invited to design the costumes for productions by Dimiter Gotscheff , including Chekhov's Ivanov at the Berliner Volksbühne on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz . This production was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen 2006 . Since then, Katrin Lea Tag has been working regularly with the following directors:

Two productions in 2015 received special approval from the press and the public: Hans Neuenfels ' interpretation of Ariadne auf Naxos at the State Opera in the Schiller Theater in Berlin, for which Tag designed the stage, and Michael Thalheimer's Burgtheater production of Jelinek's Die Schutzbefohlenen , for which she designed the costumes.
