Kazimierz Serocki (born March 3, 1922 in Toruń , † January 9, 1981 in Warsaw ) was a Polish composer .

Serocki studied composition with Kazimierz Sikorski and piano with Stanisław Szpinalski at the State University of Music in Łódź . From 1947 to 1948 he continued his studies in Paris with Nadia Boulanger and Lazare Lévy . He performed as a concert pianist for a few years, and since 1952 has devoted himself exclusively to composition. In 1949 he founded the composers group Gruppe 49 with Tadeusz Baird and Jan Krenz . Together with Tadeusz Baird, he was also one of the founders of the Warsaw Autumn in 1956 , a major festival of contemporary music.
