Kazuki Nagasawa ( Japanese 長 澤 和 輝 , Nagasawa Kazuki ; born December 16, 1991 in Tōgane , Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player . The attacking midfielder is the first Japanese footballer to move directly from university to a European professional club.
Career
Kazuki Nagasawa began his career in the Japanese University League , in which he was with the team of the Tokyo Senshū University three times in a row regional champion and once national university champion. From March to November 2013, he trained with the Yokohama F. Marinos , a club from the Japanese J-League . There he played only one competitive game and he was substituted on in the cup game against Omiya Ardija on April 3, 2013 in the 76th minute.
In December 2013 Nagasawa signed his first professional contract with 1. FC Köln and moved to the Rhine at the beginning of the winter training camp . His contract ran until summer 2016. Nagasawa made his first appearance in Peter Stöger's team in the test match against FC Schalke 04 on January 18, 2014. He played his first competitive game on February 9, 2014, when he played 0: 1 -Home defeat of 1. FC Köln against SC Paderborn 07 in the 68th minute of play for Mišo Brečko was substituted on. After strong performances in the second half of the season, Nagasawa's contract was extended to summer 2018. He made his Bundesliga debut on October 4, 2014 (7th matchday) in the 3-2 defeat in the away game against Eintracht Frankfurt , when he came on for Simon Zoller in the 81st minute .
During the winter break of the 2015/16 season , he moved back to Japan to the Urawa Red Diamonds . From there he was awarded to the club JEF United Ichihara Chiba in the second division for a year .
