Kazuyuki Takao ( Japanese 高 尾 和 行 , Takao Kazuyuki ; born May 12, 1967 in Saga Prefecture ) is a Japanese beach volleyball player .

Career

Takao played his first international tournaments in 1989 with Kōichirō Kanno . After 14th place in Rio de Janeiro , Takao / Kanno immediately finished third in front of their home crowd in Enoshima . In 1990 they played the same tournaments and finished 17th and ninth. The following year they came in 16th in Cattolica and Almería . In 1992 and 1993 they achieved further top ten results in Enoshima. After eighth place at the Goodwill Games in Saint Petersburg in 1994 , they were ninth again in Marseille and Carolina .

In 1995 Takao started with changing partners, but did not get past 25th place. From the open tournament in Lignano he formed a permanent duo with Shōji Setoyama . Her best results on this year's World Tour were three 17th places. They achieved the same result in Marbella the following year . The other Open tournaments in 1996 they finished in 25th place. They also qualified for the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they lost their first game against the German duo Ahmann / Hager . In the loser's round they were then eliminated with another defeat against the French Penigaud / Jodard .

In 1999 and 2000 Takao played with Satoshi Watanabe . However, he could not achieve any top placements. At the 1999 World Cup in Marseille, Takao / Watanabe came last (shared). On the World Tour, 33rd place in Espinho was the best result in the first year , while in the second year they did not get beyond 37th place in Lignano. In 2002 Takao went to four open tournaments with Takashi Ogawa and reached 41st place each time.
