Keegan Joyce (born August 25, 1989 in Sydney ) is an Australian actor and singer .

life and career

Keegan Joyce attended King's School in Parramatta .

At the age of 12, Keegan Joyce made his first professional appearance as Oliver Twist in the musical Oliver! .

In the television series K-9 , Joyce portrayed the orphan and rebel Starkey.

From 2010 to 2016, Joyce starred Fuzz Greene in thirty episodes of the television series Rake . His character Fuzz has a chaotic and wild life. He dates an English teacher, converts to the Protestant faith and returns from Africa with a woman from the Congo. While filming, Joyce enrolled as a student at the Australian Conservatorium of Music , where he received a degree in musicology in 2014 .

From 2014 to 2015 Joyce played Andrej in the musical Once at the Princess Theater in Melbourne . He not only sang in the musical, but also played various instruments, such as the ukulele .

From 2014 to 2016 Joyce starred as Arnold in the television series Please Like Me . Before Joyce played the role of gay and anxiety disorder Arnold, Joyce spent a lot of time learning more about the mental disorder. It was important to him to be able to depict this disease in a respectful and realistic manner.

In addition to acting, Joyce sings and plays guitar , bass guitar and ukulele . He can be heard as tenor singer on the album Mysteries of Gregorian Chant , produced by ABC . He also went on a European tour with the Chamber Choir and sang with them at Notre-Dame de Paris and Westminster Abbey, among others .

In 2016 Joyce recorded his album Snow on higher ground , which was released on vinyl and some digital platforms. The album made it to number 45 on the Australian ITunes charts on September 1, 2016 .
