Kembachtal cycle path
In 2020, construction work began on a cycle path in the Kembach valley from the state border of Bavaria / Baden-Württemberg to Dietenhan. The Kembachtal cycle path is laid out with a three meter wide asphalt pavement and a 50 centimeter wide gravel on the side. Citizens of Dietenhan are calling for the cycle path to be continued to Urphar on the Main cycle path . They criticized the city of Wertheim because this demand for a safe cycle path had been going unheard for many years. The Dietenhan mayor Behner explained that there could be no simple solution, mainly because the topography of the Kembach valley is unfavorable in some places.
In the cycle path concept of the Main-Tauber district published in 2012, the planned cycle path in the Kembach valley from Urphar via Dietenhan and Kembach with a further connection from Neubrunn to the “Romantic Road” cycle path is described as the shortest cycle connection between Wertheim and Würzburg.
