Ken Roche
Ken Roche (actually Kenneth James Roche; born October 24, 1941 ) is a former Australian hurdler and sprinter .
In 1962 he won over 440 yard hurdles at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth . Over 440 yards and in the 4-by-440-yard relay, he was fourth.
At the Olympic Games in 1964 he reached the semi-finals over 400 m hurdles and the quarter-finals over 400 m . In the 4 x 400 meter relay , he was eliminated in the run-up.
In 1966 he defended his title over 440 yard hurdles at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston and came fifth with the Australian 4 x 440 yard relay.
He was three times Australian champion over 440 yards (1962-1964) and twice over 440 yard hurdles (1962, 1963).
His daughter Danni Roche won Olympic gold with the Australian national hockey team in 1996.
