Keneba is a town in the West African state of Gambia .

According to a calculation for the year 2013, there are around 1810 inhabitants, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 1612.

Keneba is located in the Lower River Region in the Kiang West District and is approximately 14 miles east on the Sankandi Strait , from where a main road branches off from the South Bank Road .

The Medical Research Council and the International Trypanotolerance Center each operate an outstation here.
