Kenneth Kennholt (born January 13, 1965 in Södertälje ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Kenneth Kennholt began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of SPAIF , for whose professional team he made his debut in the then second-rate Division 1 in the 1984/85 season . He spent the following three years with their league rivals Nacka HK . The defender then joined the capital club Djurgårdens IF from the Elitserien . With Djurgården he won the Swedish championship in the seasons 1988/89 , 1989/90 and 1990/91 . At European level, he and his team also won the European Ice Hockey Cup in 1990 and 1991 . For the 1993/94 season , the two-time world champion was committed by the HV71 , with whom he also won the Swedish championship title in the 1994/95 season . He last appeared again in the 1997/98 season for Djurgårdens IF in the Elitserien, before ending his career at the age of 33.

International

For Sweden , Kennholt took part in the 1991 , 1992 and 1993 world championships. He was also in his country's squad at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . At the world championships in 1991 and 1992 he won the gold medal with his team and the silver medal at the 1993 world championship.
