The Kenzenbach is a mountain stream in the Bavarian part of the Ammergau Alps .

course

The source area is about 1500  m above sea level. NHN in a hollow below the Vorderscheinberg . The plateau rises southwest of the headwaters . The Kenzenbach initially flows through the valley between Kenzenkopf and Vorderscheinberg. At about 1290  m above sea level. NHN , the Kenzenhütte is only a few meters from the stream. In the further course the Kenzenbach flows along the southern foot of the Grubenkopf and then finally reaches the Wankerfleck . Here the Kenzenbach joins the Gumpenbach to form the Bockstallbach .

waterfall

About 350 m south of the Kenzenhütte the Kenzenbach falls over a step in the terrain and thus forms a waterfall. In the 19th century, the Bavarian King Ludwig II had the waterfall illuminated at night.
