Kerens is a city in Navarro County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located in central northeast Texas, at the intersection of Highways 31 and 309, and Farm Roads 667 and 3096, 22 km east of Corsicana and has a total area of ​​6.0 km 2 without any significant water surface.

history

The place was founded in 1881 when the St. Louis Southwestern Railway of Texas laid its tracks through the county. It was named after the judge RC Kerens from St. Louis .
