Kennedale is a city in Tarrant County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located in the central northeast of Texas, on Highway 496, 16 km southeast of Fort Worth , in the southeast of the county and has a total area of 15.6 km² without any significant water surface.

According to the 2000 census, 5,850 people lived here in 2,141 households and 1,616 families. The population density was 374.0 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 88.51% White, 3.45% African American, 0.75% Native American, 0.97% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 4.29% other ethnic groups. About 2.02% were of mixed race and 9.91% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 2,141 households, 40.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 58.2% of them were married couples living together. 12.3% were single mothers and 24.5% were non-families. 19.2% of all households were single households and 5.1% had people living in them who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.11.
28.6% of the population were under 18 years old, 8.7% 18 to 24, 32.5% 25 to 44, 21.5% 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older . The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females of all age groups, there were 96.3 males. For every 100 women aged 18 and over there were 93.2 men.
