Colleyville is a city in Tarrant County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is a suburb of Fort Worth and is located in the northeast of the county, is about 80 km to the north from Oklahoma and has a total area of ​​33.9 km², of which 0.08 km² is water.

history

Settlement of the area began around 1850. The city was named after Hilburn Howard Colley , a doctor from Missouri who moved to Texas in 1880, settled here and practiced for 40 years. In 1936, 25 residents were registered for the first time and in 1958 the population had risen to 100. Due to the proximity to Fort Worth and better transport connections, the place became a popular place to live and in 1964 1,491 people lived here.
