Abdallah Kerim Mrabti (born May 20, 1994 in Nacka ) is a Swedish football player . The midfielder made his debut for the Swedish national team in 2016 , and a year later he took part in the 2017 European Under-21 Championship .

Career

Mrbati grew up as the son of a Tunisian in Enköping , where he started playing football at the local Enköpings SK . Under coach Sigurður Jónsson, the teenager moved up to the squad of the fourth-class Division 2 team in 2010 . After he was seriously injured in the spring, the 17-year-old junior international was one of the key players in the fall, alongside Joel Rajalakso, who was just a year older , when the team was promoted to the third division. He then ran a season in Division 1 before he joined league rivals IK Sirius in January 2013 . Under coach Kim Bergstrand , he rose with the team to the second-rate Superettan , where he played 23 season games in the 2014 season. As a table sixth he placed with the club in the front of the table, he also played in the Swedish U-21 team in the autumn .

In February 2015 Mrabti signed a contract with first division club Djurgårdens IF . Right away he was a regular under coach Per Olsson in midfield of the Stockholm club, for which he played 28 season games. His first two goals in the Allsvenskan he scored during the season in a 2-2 draw in the Tvillingderbyt against local rivals AIK . As a result, national coach Erik Hamrén nominated him for the senior team, for which he started against Estonia in January 2016 . His international debut ended in the first half when he tore a cruciate ligament . In early 2017 he returned to the football field. As a regular player he recommended himself again for the Swedish U-21 national team, with whom he took part in the U-21 European Championship finals in the summer of that year. First substitute in the first two group matches against England and Poland , he was in the starting line-up in the final group match against Slovakia . With a total of two points, he missed the semi-finals with the defending champion.

In mid-August 2020, he moved to the Belgian first division partner KV Mechelen , where he signed a contract with a term of three years with the option of an extension for another year.
