Kerschbaum is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Greifenburg in the Spittal an der Drau district in Carinthia .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 194 building areas with 37,011 m² and 41 gardens on 39,765 m² in the cadastral community of Kerschbaum , in 1989/1990 there were 184 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 351 and in 2009/2010 there were 291 buildings on 363 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is strongly influenced by forestry. 190 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 996 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 184 hectares and 1007 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 178 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 1,191 hectares. The average soil climate number of Kerschbaum is 15.1 (as of 2010).
