Kerstin Avemo
Kerstin Avemo (born October 27, 1973 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish opera singer ( soprano , coloratura soprano ).
Life
After completing her training at Operastudio 67, she studied at the University of Music in Stockholm . Her breakthrough came in 2002 at the Gothenburg Opera with the title role in the opera Lulu by Alban Berg . She subsequently appeared in various opera houses such as the Frankfurt Opera , the Zurich Opera , the Theater la Monnaie , the Theater an der Wien and at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen . Her repertoire ranges from Violetta ( La traviata ) to Gretel ( Hansel and Gretel ) to Julia in Roméo et Juliette . She has appeared at many festivals and u. a. in the Palais des Beaux Arts, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and in the Berlin Philharmonic .
